One Direction 2012: 1D’s management tell Harry Styles to stay single!

Published on UNREALTYTV by Sarah

According to Star magazine, the management behind hit band One Direction have warned heartthrob Harry Styles that he should stay single after a number of girls who’ve been romantically connected with him have been targeted by online haters.

A source close to 1D told the magazine, “Harry feels bad about it. He hates that fact that any girl he is linked to gets such foul abuse.

“But his bosses say that he should simply stay single for the time being to stop it happening. He can’t win!”

The most recent victim of online hatred from 1D fans has been Harry’s friend Ellis Culcutt who, after media claims she was dating Harry, received hate filled messages on Twitter.

She in turn tweeted, “Wow, you people are sooo quick to make up rumours! Me & Harry went for coffee together as we haven’t seen each other since last year!

“We’re only good friends and have been since high school…

“I have a lovely boyfriend called Phil so you can stop spreading rumours about me and Harry dating each other because we absolutely are not!”

Harry has of course also formerly dated Xtra Factor host Caroline Flack, and most recently, he was photographed with a “mystery blonde” whose identity has so far remained just that, a mystery.

Little Mix's Perrie Edwards: I don't have time for romance with Zayn Malik - but Oritse Williams is fun!

Published on Now Magazine

Little Mix's Perrie Edwards has put her rumoured romance with One Direction's Zayn Malik on hold.

The blonde admits that the 1D boys - who were at the X Factor final on Sunday night - were very supportive but she is too busy for a relationship with Zayn, 18.

‘They were so nice and gave us loads of advice,' Perrie, 18, tells The Sun.

‘But right now I haven't got time for romance. It's all about the music, the tour and then the album.

‘There are no boys for us. We're going to be like nuns.'

It seems Perrie does have a soft spot for another former X Factor contestant, though - Oritsé Williams from JLS gets a thumbs-up from her and Little Mix bandmate Jade Thirlwall.

‘One Direction are really pretty, but I like a man!' insists Jade, 18. 'Oritsé from JLS.'

‘I think I'm going to have to agree with Jade,' says Perrie.

‘Oritsé is so funny!'

One Direction's Zayn dating Little Mix star?

Published on RTE

One Direction's Zayn Malik has reportedly started dating Little Mix member Perrie Edwards.

The pair apparently exchanged numbers after meeting on the set of the X Factor charity single video and have been texting ever since.

It is claimed that both Zayn and Niall of One Direction took a shine to Perrie but that she chose Zayn.

'Zayn has got in there first but Niall is obsessed with her too," a source told The Sun. "They met her on the video shoot and have both been trying to win her over.'

Reports say that Zayn and Perrie will "go public" after The X Factor ends.

JLS And One Direction's The X Factor Charity Music Video Unveiled

The two former reality show boy bands both appear alongside the ITV1 show's 2011 finalists in the new charity video.

JLS and One Direction both feature in the new music video for this year's The X Factor Charity single, which was released yesterday evening (25th November).

Both the 'Gotta Be You' singers and four-piece JLS were asked to contribute vocals to the show's charity cover of Rose Royce's 'Wishing On A Star' by The X Factor boss Simon Cowell.

The bands filmed the music video for 'Wishing On A Star' earlier this week alongside the show's 15 finalists including Little Mix, Amelia Lily and Misha B.

Simon Cowell previously confirmed that all profits made from sales of the single will be donated to children's charity Together For Short Lives.

'Wishing On A Star' will be officially released for download on 27th November.

Is Harry from One Direction's X Factor romance all it seems?

Published on Guardian

Reports that Harry Styles is having a fling with Caroline Flack whiff of showmance to me.

"X-cruciating," thundered the Sun this week, in reference to besieged karaokosseum The X Factor. "Has a TV series ever stumbled so badly?" the paper went on, citing "judges' feuds, sex and drug allegations, uproar over contestants and now massive technical bungles". Strong words, certainly. And yet, and yet … if The X Factor is such a damp squib, what does continuing to print Simon Cowell's press releases say about the newspapers that do it – and do it so admiringly?

Take a look at Exhibit A, a breathless front-page report from Thursday's Sun, which reveals that Harry Styles, a singer with last year's finalists One Direction, is dating Caroline Flack, presenter of spin-off show The Xtra Factor. Would you Adam and Eve it?

No, is the answer. No, you wouldn't, even if The X Factor wasn't in hot water, and Five Erections didn't have a single out this week on Simon Cowell's label. To those who might deem this take vaguely cynical, Lost in Showbiz can only say: re-engage your disbelief. This is The X Factor, a show of such naked, all-consuming cynicism that it makes Triumph of the Will look like The Tale of the Flopsy Bunnies. Of course, if Caroline and Harry should miraculously end up married or something, Lost in Showbiz will have no hesitation in issuing a public mea culpa and ordering the three people in Britain who don't already ignore every word of this facetious column to commence doing so at once.

But in the meantime, it is only fair that I should hand you over to the Sun's own account of the budding showmance, so that you may be the judge.

According to this apparently eye-witnessed report, the pair "shared a couple of desserts together" earlier this week, in the restaurant of a high-profile central London hotel, which happens to be a favourite hunting ground for hacks and paps alike. "After finishing the meal," the paper continues, "the giggling couple sauntered out of the main entrance at 11pm" – right on the dot, I imagine – "and hopped into the same chauffeur-driven car." Chauffered, presumably, by whoever is the Parker in Cowell's repertory company of unconvincing puppets. Louis Walsh, probably.

There follow some quotes from one of those anonymous onlookers who speak exactly like editorialising Sun journalists, who obliges readers by pointing out: "They didn't try to hide the fact that they were jumping in a cab together."

The story is given added piquancy by the fact that Harry is 17, while Caroline is 32 – yet the traditional references to her being almost twice his age are refreshingly absent. I suppose that on all other occasions when the Sun reports a relationship between a 32-year-old woman and a 17-year-old young adult, it tends to be gleaned from crown court proceedings, with the elder party typically a biology teacher or something in PE, and the article accompanied by one of those admonishing little leaders in the Sun Says column. (Are you a student of these bits of drollery? My favourites are when the Sun directly addresses the chairman of the Federal Reserve to give him a ticking-off, or threatens Vladimir Putin over something or other – a pose that has felt increasingly forced since the phone-hacking fallout ensured the paper's political influence has a half life shorter than many unstable radionuclides.)

But back to Harry and Caroline, and their incredible showmance. I need hardly remind you of the controlling intelligence behind this publicity. Even Caroline's surname seems like something developed in a petri dish in Cowell's subterranean lab, designed specifically to appeal to subeditors who find themselves so tempted to deploy "copping some Flack", that the impulse overrides any concerns they might have over the veracity of the tale in question. Frankly, until I see compelling scientific evidence to the contrary, I refuse to believe that Caroline Flack is even humanoid. She is a replicant – basic headline model.

Still, she's certainly taking the flak for this romance, if a tweet she posted yesterday is anything to go by. "Hi one direction fans!" it ran. "To clarify. I'm close friends with harry ... He's one of the nicest people I know … I don't deserve death threats. :) x"

Well quite. At time of writing, Friday's Sun was still a twinkle in its editor's eye, but something in my waters tells me that it will reveal that Xtra Factor beauty Caroline Flack has received death threats from crazed One Direction fans. And so it goes on – a timely reminder than it's still Cowell's world. The Sun's just printing it.

One Direction admit bum-grabbing fans freak them out

Published on Mirror.

Teen boy band One Direction has admitted screaming crowds of fans can be intimidating.

Speaking to the Daily Mail Weekend magazine, the teenage fivesome told how fans utilise social networking sites to help spread the word where they are.

Reflecting on a recent appearance in Milan where 3,000 fans turned up, Louis Tomlinson teased fellow band member Niall Horan.

“You get a bit scared sometimes Niall, don't you?' says Louis.

“It freaks me out.” Niall agreed.

“The fans are very hands on - hammering on the car, grabbing our bums when we get out.”

The physical effects of their popularity aren’t just felt by the boys either – meeting their young idols can really take it out of their fans. Zayn Malik recounted how a girl in Ireland keeled over in front of him. just because he’d mouthed hello through a window.

“She just passed out, flat on the floor,” he said.

And the families of One Direction bear the brunt of hordes of over-zealous fans tracking every movement of the former X Factor act, too.

“If people know you're home, they'll turn up,” said Liam Payne.

“Girls even appear when I'm not there. I get texts from my mum asking, ‘How many times can I tell them that you're not here?’”
